Why I dance
I teach dance because I love dance!
I believe that there are benefits to be found through dance for everyone, whether that's promoting a healthier lifestyle, meeting new friends or boosting your confidence and mental wellbeing. Dancing has given me much over the years - not only a career I love but also a positive approach to my general health and wellbeing, as well as a creative outlet and a means to express myself. Join me at a class and discover what dance can do for you.
Training & career
As a child I studied towards graded examinations with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) before embarking on my professional training in ballet and contemporary dance at Trinity Laban. Since then I've gained teaching diplomas in ballet, tap and modern dance with both the ISTD and RAD.
I've been teaching ballet, tap, modern and contemporary at schools across the Midlands and South West for over a decade. I'm proud to have successfully entered a number of students for their ISTD and RAD exams and to have helped past pupils go on to study at vocational schools and associate programmes - as well as helping many recreational dancers to discover a passion that lasts a lifetime.
